  • The talking circle is a ceremony that follows a set protocol. The circle is a sacred place we gather based on respect and honesty. It is the place we go to share, learn and grow. It is a place where people share equality and are welcome to speak about their own experience from the heart. Anything that is said in the talking circle stays in that circle. The feather or talking stick is used to ensure that everyone has their chance to say something. This dialogue process is intended to help us move to a more in-depth understanding of election issues and understand our roles within our community.
