My husband Darren and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 children.  We have lived in Red Deer and the surrounding area all our lives.

Since my children have been in school, I have in some way been involved in their schools.  I have been a parent volunteer, Snack Program Coordinator, Treasurer, and Chairperson of 2 School Councils.  

I have also been active as a member of the Foundation for Red Deer Public Schools.  For the past three years, I have been the Chairperson of the Striving for Excellence Dinner.  Other opportunities I have had include being a coordinator For Hope, Health and Happiness and Footsteps to Hope, Health and Happiness, which were geared toward a Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes Program for 5-12 year olds.  I was also a member of the K-8 Implementation Committee.

I consider our schools a community, working together as one. As one community we grow stronger. The more voices we have the stronger we are.

The students of Red Deer Public Schools deserve quality education to help each student succeed in whatever they chose. I believe that my dedication to the schools and to the students attending these schools will help me be an understanding and valuable asset to the Red Deer Public School Board.
